CCS Individual Scholar-Athletes
Established in 1997-98, the CCS recognizes its outstanding scholar-athletes each year by awarding a Male and Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Each winner receives a $1500.00 scholarship.
In addition, from 1997 through 2001, the CCS also awarded $500.00 scholarships to three runner-ups, one from each CCS section, the Northern, Central, and Southern. In 2002, the CCS expanded this award to a Male and Female from each section, and in 2015, it further expanded this $500.00 scholarship to a Male and Female from each of the eight leagues.
Below is a list of winners from the SCCAL. The first group are the overall CCS Male and Female Scholar-Athletes of the Year, and the second group are the additional scholar-athletes. There are over 160 schools in the CCS, and almost 80,000 students participate in athletics in the CCS every year, so earning CCS Scholar-Athlete distinctions is a very high honor.
