Distinguished SCCAL Alumni
The SCCAL started operations in the Fall of 1976. Please see the criteria below, this is a list of distinguished SCCAL grads.
This is a work-in-progress of the alumni from the schools of the SCCAL who have distinguished themselves in the professional ranks of sports or in international sporting competitions.
Criteria for inclusion on this list: 1. Must have graduated from an SCCAL school. 2. Professional athlete – MLB, NBA, NFL, ATP, PGA or LPGA, etc. 3. No minor leagues, no foreign leagues, no semi-pro leagues. 4. Member of a National Team that competes internationally.

*Linda Gustavson, Soquel HS Class of 1967 (pre-SCCAL), was a former world record holder and three-time Olympic medalist in swimming.
*Marlene Henderson, Aptos HS Class of 1987, was an All-American basketball player at USF and played professionally in Europe before the advent of the WNBA.
The NFL and Major League Baseball have the largest number of SCCAL alumni, tied with 11 each. They are followed by the AVP Beach Volleyball Tour and Running, which are tied for 3rd (6 each).
